About Old Minnesund bridge
The old Minnesund bridge was opened in 1959. The bridge was part of the E6 until the new bridge is right next to the old one which opened in 1993.
The two road bridges over Minnesund straits was protected by the Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage 17 april 2008.
